Firmware & maintenance

Update the right way, and do the small checks that prevent most bench visits. Firmware versions below come from the ODR Drone Firmware Center, last checked Oct 26, 2026.

Update rules

  1. Use the official tool

    Always update through DJI Pilot 2, DJI Fly or DJI Assistant 2. For other brands, use the manufacturer's own app or tool. [1]

  2. Check your version first

    Your current version is under About or Firmware Update in DJI Pilot 2 / DJI Fly. [1]

  3. One file on the card

    For card-based payload updates, keep only one firmware file on the card. [2]

  4. Never power off mid-update

    If an update keeps failing, contact the shop before trying again. [2]

Routine care

Props

Check for bent or chipped props; they cause shaky "jello" video.

Remove the gimbal guard before power-on and calibrate in the app when the horizon tilts.

Clean the lens; let internal fog dry in a dry room, never heat it.
