How it works
How repair works
From the moment your box arrives to the moment it ships back, here is every stage, and what you decide at each one.
Six stages
-
Received
The box is opened or checked in at the counter. -
Intake
You get a short intake form by email. That email is your confirmation it arrived. -
Inspection
The fault is found on the bench. -
Estimate
Within 2 business days of check-in. Completely free. -
Repair & test
Only after you approve it. -
Back to you
Return shipping with tracking, or pickup.

Why inspect before pricing
Hidden damage
A crash can damage parts you can't see.
Different causes
A black video feed can be a cable, a camera or a board.
Parts vary
Availability is different for each model.
Good to know
No online price guessesPhotos and video help decide whether it's worth sending in. The price comes from the inspection. [2]
Approving and paying
How do I approve?
Reply to your estimate email saying you approve, and include your estimate number. [3]
When do I pay?
If it isn't fixed, you don't pay. [3]
Purchase orders (agencies and businesses)
Send your purchase order number with your approval. [3]
Tax-exempt
Send your tax-exempt certificate with your approval so it's on file before you're invoiced. [3]
Vendor paperwork
Standard vendor paperwork, such as a W-9, can be sent to your purchasing office. [3]
Insurance is paying
You can get a written estimate and damage findings for your insurer. Your insurer decides the claim. [3]
Repair or replace?
Damage
How much is broken, and where [4]
Parts
Availability for your model [4]
Age
How old it is and how much it has flown [4]
Mission
What the aircraft needs to do [4]
Coverage
Insurance or a protection plan [4]
If it makes sense, a comparable replacement can be quoted next to the repair estimate so you can compare. [4]
