Troubleshoot by symptom
Safe checks you can do yourself, organized by what you see. If the problem stays, stop flying and send it in for a free estimate.
Camera and gimbal
| Symptom | What it looks like | Try first |
|---|---|---|
| Black or no video | Feed won't show in the app | Restart aircraft and controller; check the gimbal cover is off |
| Gimbal won't move | Stuck, tilted, or a gimbal overload warning | Remove the gimbal guard before powering on; run gimbal calibration |
| Shaky or "jello" video | Wobble or ripples in footage | Check for bent or chipped props and loose gimbal dampers |
| Tilted horizon | Image sits crooked | Run gimbal calibration in the app |
| Spots on thermal | Burn marks or blotches in the IR image | Never point a thermal camera at the sun or a laser; this can permanently damage the sensor |
| Blurry or foggy | Soft image or haze inside the lens | Clean the lens; let fog dry in a dry room, don't heat it |
